BF3's increased popularity of the franchise and did manage to convert a lot of players. BF was never a contender for the top spot before it, so I guess it worked for them :)
It would feel odd playing a MGS on anything but a PS controller, I must admit :)
You or someone else writes what you have to every single article from every single website that might say the slightest of negative to the PS3. The story seems fairly honest if you were to read it... Clearly there were problems early on until people like ND etc. got involved with dedicated games and aced it.
What the hell are you talking about women can't play this? Don't be stupid.
I thought they said 720p imdaboss1?
This game looks to potentially blow my mind :)
My thoughts exactly. An amazing game start to finish, but with no DLC on its way, once you've got all the collectables (something I found fairly easy to do with those T-maps) there isn't much more to do. I was going to hold on to it, but now I know it is only MP downloadable content to come, it will be sold/traded for my next experience.
May be I am just cynical, but I have played a lot of 9's that I thought were pretty poor games. Most of which are shooters funny enough. I don't think reviewers really have the same eye for quality as I do as a consumer. Too many highly rated shallow games review well, too many unique exciting experiences are rated low because of the odd fluffy texture :/
I'd be up for a more arcadey SEGA take on the sports. I got PES and FIFA to choose from if they are planning a sim.
10 years and my father death has not been avenged!
I've not seen any advertising in the UK for it, apart from a poster in the corner of HMV.
Tbh, they messed with things that put gears heads like me off of it, and didn't entice a more casual audience. I'll get it eventually, but the demo of the new mode was slow paced and limiting... hardly something to make me rush out and buy it over Bioshock.
...or make porn of it.
I've had this game for a fair while now. Well worth a play through, and you comparison pretty much sums it up!
Don't ber so pushy, ask him nicely.
Would you kindly play the first Bioshock?
Do they fail to realise that when I trade games in, it is to buy a new one I would otherwise not afford? I traded a bunch of old ones in this past weekend to get my hands on Tomb Raider, I wouldn't have bought/afforded it without doing so.
I'm with superabyte on this one, if I move house in the UK it can take over a month to be connected back up. If this means I can;t play offline, then I won't buy for this simple reason!
I like to watch IGN's video reviews. Regardless of what they personally say, you always come away with a good idea of what the game is about.
imho tbh irl.
I agree to an extent, I have been well into Gears since the original... but I have no need for this one. Gears 3 MP hasn't become stale or boring, and I go back to that all the time... but because I do that it doesn't mean I want a new one, so will pick this one up when it is in a bargain bin some day. I feel the same about battlefield 4. These are just unnecessary sequels designed to just pinch a few more quid at this stage. Give me something new.
That's a franchise that could do with some love from a good Dev studio. It still has potential to be a great single player and multiplayer game... instead of dicking on it like the last couple of attempts ;)
Always the best way; going in not really knowing exactly what you're about to delve into.
